WAFarmers PoolsSince March 2009, Emerald has operated a marketing alliance with farm advocacy group the Western Australian Farmers Federation (WAFarmers). This partnership sees Emerald manage Wheat, Barley and Canola Pools designed specifically for WAFarmers members. The relationship was initially established because of concerns that the process of deregulation could lead to a number of marketing services and product features disappearing from the Western Australian grain market. The WAFarmers Pools have since been a very succesful grain marketing option for many WAFarmers members. The pool returns value to its participants through generous premiums, industry leading quality rewards and competitive finance options. The Wire - WAFarmer's Pools Newsletter Welcome to the first ever WAFarmers Pools newsletter. The newsletter aims to inform our grower customers about relevant market conditions and give you insight into what we expect for the season ahead. Taking into account market leading quality rewards and early contracting premiums, participants in the WAFarmers Pools are receiving net returns as good as, or better than, competing pools. The Early Order Premium Program The Early Order Premium (EOP) program is a pre harvest contract that rewards you for your early commitment. From a grain marketing perspective, your early commitment allows our grain traders, in conjunction with Sumitomo, to get a head start on sales in to international and domestic homes. This allows us to monitor the market and look for pricing opportunities prior to physically receiving the grain, returning the value to the pool participants.
