Murray De JongAs General Manager for the Emerald Group - WA Murray manages all aspects and operations of the business in Western Australia and has been with the company for 4 years. Murray grew up working for his family fertilizer business based in Gippsland Victoria. He then went on to work overseas in the legal and property sectors. Most recently, Murray has been the General Manager – Corporate Services based in the Emerald Head Office. Murray is looking forward to further developing the Emerald business to better service the WA grain producer. |

Brad GoslingBrad is based in the Emerald WA State office in Subiaco and is the WA Regional Trading Manager. Brad was raised on the family farm in Central Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, which is a mixed farming and sheep grazing business. With an International Business degree, an AusBulk Grain Marketing Cadetship and strong understanding of grain quality and grower accumulation, Brad then worked as ABB’s National Wheat Logistics Manager for 3 years. A promotion to Assistant Trader of Protein Meals for 2 years was an exciting development and developed skills in trading both physical and derivative contracts for Soybean Meal and Palm Kernel Meal. In 2009, a 3-month overseas secondment in a Ukrainian joint-venture, accumulating and exporting barley from Black Sea origins provided Brad with insight into this critical region. Brad joined Emerald in March 2010 and has become a key member of the developing trading and export team managing the domestic and export trading for Emerald Group Australia. |

Steve FieldSteve is based in the Emerald WA State office in Subiaco and is the Kwinana Grain Merchant. After growing up on a wheat sheep farm in Cascades Steve has had varied, agricultural related experience over the years. Steve’s career has included working in broad acre farming, managing a dairy, bio-security with the UK foot and mouth crisis, a grain quality officer with CBH and providing ruminant nutrition advise. Over the past five and a half years Steve has been involved in the grains industry with both United Farmers Co-operative and Emerald. |

Mark GowerMark commenced with Emerald in September 2010 as a Kwinana Grain Merchant based in Merredin. Mark brings with him many years of industry experience and significant local knowledge with his time as a fertiliser account manager in the Merredin area, where he has lived and worked for many years. Mark’s role will be predominately to service the central wheat belt and the northern portion of the Lakes district. |

Don ClarkeDon joined the Emerald group in the capacity of a part time Grain Merchant based in Narembeen. Predominantly, Don will be servicing the majority of the South Eastern Kwinana zone and some of the North Eastern Albany zone. Don's Agricultural experience is vast and has mainly included fertiliser and grain marketing as an agent for Ravensdown and United Farmers. Don used to farm in the Narembeen area as well as running a shearing contractor business. |

Joanna LangJo joined the Emerald Group in June 2011 as a casual Administrative Assistant. Jo comes from a farming background having grown up on a cattle and cropping property near Moora. She is currently in her 5th year of studying a combined Bachelor of Agriculture and Commerce at the University of Western Australia. |

Dick McCaghDick joined the Emerald Group in June 2009 as the Geraldton Grain Merchant. Dick hails from the area of Mullewa where he was brought up on a wheat and sheep farm in a small area called Tardun. He left the area in 1991 and since then has been involved in the Geraldton farming industry particularly the fertiliser sector. |

Tania FarrellTania commenced with the Emerald Group in July 2010. Tania brings with her a vast local knowledge as she hails from the family farm at Nabawa, about 35kms out of Geraldton. Tania now runs a cropping enterprise in Yuna with her husband and family. |

Michael O'DeaMichael commenced work with Emerald in 2008. Originally the WAFarmers wheat pool Manager, Michael is now the grain merchant for the Albany region. Michael was previously employed as fertiliser area manager for 8 years in the Narrogin Region. Prior to his time in fertiliser, Michael farmed on a wheat and sheep farm at Green Range near Albany. |

Amy AndersonAmy joined the Emerald team in October 2010 as the Administration officer based in our Albany office. Amy was previously employed with Landmark in Albany and has banking experience from both HSBC and Bankwest. |

Andrew WhitelawAndrew joined the Emerald Group in June 2011 as the WA Logistics and Administration Officer based in Subiaco. Andrew previously worked in grain accumulation for AGAS/Cargill in Perth and prior to this worked in the animal feed industry in the UK for five and a half years, where he focused on Logistics, Quality and IT. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business IT majoring in E-business and is currently studying for a master’s degree in Agribusiness through the University of Queensland. |
